I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: I’ve been awarded a PRISE grant this year! This incredible opportunity allows my team to explore a groundbreaking project that blends virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to reimagine how undergraduate students engage with mathematics.
Our goal is to create an immersive VR environment where students can collaborate with their peers and AI-powered “friends” and mentors to solve math problems. Picture this: a dynamic, interactive space where students don’t just study math but experience it alongside virtual companions designed to guide and inspire. By integrating AI and VR, we aim to make math more approachable, engaging, and fun for undergraduates, fostering a deeper connection to the subject.
